On Court: Four year standout for Oregon Episcopal School...as a freshman made debut for the Stags at the ITA West Regionals going 3-2 in singles and 1-1 with partner Robbie Erani in doubles...played in two singles and five doubles matches in spring dual match play, posting a 5-2 mark in both...as a sophomore played 3 three-set matches in singles at the ITA West Regionals, losing to top seed and eventual finalist Andrew Giuffrida in the first round of the main draw...partnered freshman Mac Cahill in the doubles and the pair won the consolation draw...played in two dual matches at the #6 singles position, plus the Ojai Valley Tournament in the spring, going 3-3 for the season...made his biggest mark in doubles for the Stags, where he broke into the starting lineup with partner Eric MacColl...his 24-6 overall doubles record at the #3 and #2 positions included winning streaks of eight (February - March) and nine (March - April) matches...his 24-6 record lands him tied for 17th best in a single season in Stags Tennis history...most memorable of 2010 will be the title run with MacColl at the Ojai Valley Tournament, where the pair beat three of the top teams in the west including eventual NCAA doubles champions Pybas and Vartabedian from Santa Cruz in the semis, and then teammates Erani and Wu in the final...after saving five match points, their doubles victory at #2 in the NCAA West Regional final put the Stags up for good 2-1 against Santa Cruz...Wei and MacColl broke into West Region rankings on April 29 after their Ojai title, earning the 15th spot in the West...later moved to 11th in the year-end rankings despite beating three teams ahead of them...Wei figures to be one of the anchors of a talented and experienced doubles squad in 2011...as a junior began the fall campaign by winning two main draw singles matches at the ITA West Regionals before falling to teammate Ronald Wu in the Round of 16...paired with Russell Brockett to reach the quarters of the doubles as the sixth seeded team and earned a fall ranking of #12 in the West...in the spring was again a leader for the Stags in doubles, partnering Alex Lane at #2 to go 22-5...finished with a team best 24-6 mark overall...played in only one singles dual match in the spring, a 6-0, 6-0 win at #6 against Lewis & Clark...finished 3-1 overall in singles...as a senior again impressed at the USTA / ITA West Regionals, winning two rounds in singles before losing to teammate and eventual finalist Alex Johnson in the round of 16...earned the #1 seed with Pereverzin in the doubles, losing in the quarters to eventual champs Ballou and Worley from Cal Lu...ranked #6 in the west with Pereverzin in the fall rankings...began the spring with partner Marino at the #3 spot, where the duo was 2-1...then reunited with Pereverzin at #1 and #2 for three duals, before settling in at #2 and #3 with Kotrappa for the rest of the season...with Kotrappa racked up an impressive 20-4 record - good for the fourth best single season by a doubles team in CMS history - which included winning their first thirteen matches together and going 5-0 in tie-breaks...ends his CMS career having won twenty or more doubles matches in three consecutive seasons with three different partners...his 78-22 career doubles record lands him in the Stags Tennis record book for matches won (78) and career winning percentage (.780)...Wei is 9th all-time in matches won and 7th all-time in winning percentage...his 4-1 singles record as a senior put his career singles record at 15-7.
