On Court: All court player who joined the Stags after ranking in the top 200 nationally in the Boys 18s...as a freshman played #2 singlesand finished with a year-end national ranking of #37 and Second Team All-SCIAC honors...had an 11-11 singles record and 15-7 doubles record at #2 with partner Evan Feldhausen...as a sophomore entered the season ranked #33 nationally, after losing in the quarterfinals of the ITA Western Regionals to eventual national champ Kevin Casey...reached the semifinals of the ITA West Regionals with Feldhausen...finished the season with a 14-14 record at #2 singles and a 19-14 record with Feldhausen at #1 doubles...qualified for the NCAA individual doubles tournament, where they lost in the first round...with 33 matches played, the pair finished just three matches shy of the single season Stags record, and are fifth in CMS Tennis history for doubles matches played in a career...as a junior prepared by playing eight tournaments in France in July...Team Captain for second straight year...lost in the second round in singles and quarterfinals of the doubles of the ITA West Regionals in the fall...ranked #50 nationally in singles and #5 in the west in doubles with Feldhausen in the fall...played #1 singles and #2 doubles (with Feldhausen) in the spring...went 15-14 in singles and 21-4 in doubles...2nd best single season winning percentage (.840) for a doubles player in Stags Tennis history...earned 1st Team All-SCIAC and SCIAC Player of the Year honors and qualified for the NCAA singles tournament, where he lost in the first round...as a senior reached the singles final of the ITA West Regionals, losing to teammate Mike Starr...partnered David Oehm to capture the ITA West Regional doubles title and the ITA National Championship...lost a tight third-set match tie-break in the ITA Small College Super Bowl semifinals to the eventual champions from Tyler Jr. College...in the spring Ellison played #2 singles and #1 and #2 doubles (with Oehm and Feldhausen)...his 20-10 singles record gave him a career mark of 60-48 (.556), while his 24-10 doubles record gave him a career win-loss total of 79-35 (.693)...earned ITA All-American honors in singles and doubles and qualified for the NCAA singles tournament, where he lost in the first round...1st Team All-SCIAC for the third consecutive year...ends his career 6th in doubles matches won for an individual, and 2nd as a team (with Feldhausen) in Stags Tennis history.
