Stags Fall to Middlebury and Pacific Lutheran

The CMS Stags played two matches Friday at the Dana Hill Tennis Center. In the first, against defending National Champion Middlebury College, the Stags won at #1 doubles, but were unable to win at any other position in a 7-0 loss. In the afternoon, the Stags played regional opponent Pacific Lutheran University, and lost by 6-1, with Freshman Ben Hough getting the only singles victory. Thelosses drop the Stags to 10-10 overall on the season. Next week the Stags play two very important SCIAC contests - at home on Friday, April 1 against cross-campus rival Pomona-Pitzer, and away on Saturday April 2 against Cal Luthern University. The Stags remain tied for 1st place in the SCIAC with a 3-0 record as they vie for their third consecutive league title and NCAA bid.
