On Court: Went 4-1 in career singles matches and 3-0 in doubles as a Stag...he and doubles partner Chris Jazwa were the only four-year letter winners and Harvey Mudd students on the 2005 Stags team...a self-described 'grinder' who thrived on exploiting opponents' weaknesses...loved to practice the seemingly lost art (at least in college tennis) of lobbing...started the Claremont Colleges Tennis Club with Coach Settles in the Fall of 2004, and grew membership to 75 recreational players from the five Claremont Colleges and Claremont Graduate University...played #1 singles and finished second in league while at Owen J. Roberts HS.

Personal: Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for attaining a minimum 3.5 GPA during each of his four years...also a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar...published in the Institute for Combinatorics and its Applications...was a State Finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship and a candidate for the Marshall Scholarship...a tournament level bowler with a 204 average while at HMC...played drums in a college jazz improvisation group and for the Pomona Pep Band...also, President of the HMC Bridge Club..nicknamed 'Yergs' by his teammates.
