Bio

Buchanan was a two-sport athlete in football (four seasons) and wrestling (three seasons). Wrestling: Participated in the NAIA National Championship Wrestling Tournaments in 1971, 1973, and 1974. He finished in first place in NAIA District III in 1973 and second place in 1971. Other career highlights: SCIAC MVP (1973), SCIAC champion (1971, 1973), Caltech Tournament first place (1971), Biola Tournament first place (1973), Biola Tournament second place (1971), team captain (1971, 1973, 1974), led team in take-downs (1974).
