Bio

Baseball: Played for founding coach and Director of Athletics Bill Arce as an outfielder and infielder for four years, including the 1970 and 1971 SCIAC championship teams. As a senior second baseman, Wells earned second-team All-America, All-Area, first-team All-District III and second-team All-SCIAC honors. Wells served as team captain in 1970. Basketball: Played as a guard for Ted Ducey and was a two-year team captain (1970-71; 71-72). Member of team that was the SCIAC co-champion (1969-70) and outright champion (1971-72). He was honorable mention All-NAIA District III (1969-70), second-team All-District (1970-71), first-team All-SCIAC (1970-71), second-team All-SCIAC (1969-70, 71-72) and Pasadena All-Tournament team (1970-71). Coaching/Administration: Led the Stags basketball team to 324 wins and six SCIAC Championships during his 24-year career as CMS coach. Wells then served as CMS Director of Athletics from 1995-2000.
