After a successful regular season, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps track and field program saw 10 athletes qualify for the NCAA Championship in Geneva, Ohio. The top-20 male student-athletes of each event were accepted into the national championship as were the top-22 female student-athletes.

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s tennis team got off to a rolling start in the NCAA Championship at Chattanooga, Tennessee, defeating No. 11 Washington University in St. Louis 5-1 in the quarterfinals.

The field is set for the Elite Eight of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Tennis Team Championships. Team competition will span May 22-24 with the championship matches at 11 a.m. PDT for the men and 7 p.m. PDT for the women on Wednesday, May 24.

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s golf team finished the third round of the 2017 NCAA Championships with a 303, climbing up one spot to be tied at 12th place on the leaderboard on Thursday afternoon.

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s golf team made the 18-team cut at the 2017 NCAA Championships with a 310 on Wednesday’s round on the El Campeon course. CMS now sits in 13th place at +35 after the first two days of the tournament.

During the 2017 campaign, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team was led by junior pitcher Anna Gurr (CMC) from the circle and sophomore center fielder Ande Troutman (CMC) on both sides of the ball. Both Gurr and Troutman were selected to All-Region Teams from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for their successes this season.
