22 athletes headline Track & Field All-Region Team
NEW ORLEANS, Louis. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association named 22 athletes from the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps track and field program to 39 total All-Region honors on Monday, May 22. The top-five individuals of each event in each region as well as the top-3 relay teams of each region earned the honors. The Stags took home 15 All-Region honors from nine different athletes while the Athenas led all women's programs with 24 honors from 13 different athletes. Junior Tyra Abraham (SC) led the Athenas with four honors while seniors Liz Lee (HMC), Carmen Mejia (SC), and Vaiva Palunas (SC) each took three. Senior Cam Van (CMC) led the Stags with four honors and his classmate Joshua Sealand (HMC) came away with three.
