CLAREMONT, Calif. - After being a part of a seven-runner contingent that finished fourth at the cross country nationals in the fall, Natalie Bitetti, Riley Capuano, Laura Zimmer and Elle Marsyla will return to NCAA competition next week after earning NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field invitations, the organization announced this evening.

Zimmer Breaks CMS 1500-Meter Record, Bitetti Moves Into Second in 5000

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Laura Zimmer set a new CMS women's track and field record in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:25.36, while the runner who's record she broke, Natalie Bitetti, jumped from ninth to second in the 5000 meters with a 16:37.65 at the Occidental Invitational on Saturday.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Natalie Bitetti won both the 1500 meters and the 5000 meters, leading a 1-2-3-4 finish in the 1500 with Riley Capuano and Laura Zimmer, but the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's track and field team just missed its eighth straight SCIAC title, finishing in third just eight points behind Redlands on Sunday at Strehle Track.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Antonia Hekster took first place in the hammer throw by a margin of almost 18 feet, and Elle Marsyla took first in the 10000 meters, to help the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's track and field team open up a narrow five-point lead over Redlands after the first day of the SCIAC Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Strehle Track.
