On Court: One of three freshmen on the 2015-2016 Stags...two and three-star recruit on tennisrecruiting.net for most of junior career...participated on SoCal Zonal Teams in 12s in Tucson, AZ, 14s in Colorado Springs, CO, and 16s in Sal Lake City, UT...as a freshman made Stags Tennis debut at the ITA West Regionals  in October where he went 1-2 in singles play and 2-1 with partner Avi Vemuri...knocked off 5th seeds Farmer and Ross of Whittier in the round of 16 before falling to eventual champs Richter and Sirovica in the quarters...also played two Futures and two men's open events in the fall...saw limited action in the spring dual season, winning two of three singles matches at the #6 position...partnered Shankar at Pacific Coast Doubles and Brenner in one dual match...completed 2016 with records of 3-3 in singles and 3-3 in doubles...earned SCIAC All-Academic honors for maintaining a 3.2 GPA and higher...as a sophomore won one of three singles matches and two of four doubles matches (with partner Jake Williams) at ITA West Regionals...made strong spring debut by collecting a pair of key doubles win with partner Williams on opening day versus Bates and Brandeis...won twice more with Williams at No. 3 doubles to finish 4-0 in doubles duals and go 6-2 overal in doubles...started at No. 5 singles against Brandeis and Caltech, winning one of two...finished with overall singles record of 2-3...this season...won five of six singles matches at ITA West Regional, with only loss to eventual champion Chase Lipscomb of Redlands in the second round...won four matches to capture second round consolation draw...paired with Jake Williams in doubles and the duo defeated second seeded Cummins-Lipscomb in the opening round...won one more match before falling to teammates and eventual champions Berber-Parodi in the quarters.

Personal: Son of Alfred and Maira and eldest of two (younger sister Kristen)...did not play high school tennis because school didn't offer it, so played badminton instead...finished HS career as one of the best in CIF Southern Section...also played competitive baseball until age 13...also enjoys rollerblading...is an accomplished pianist, continuing to practice up to 10 hours weekly...fan of the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings films as well as the Stormlight Archives series of books by Brandon Sanderson.
