Extra inning win in season opener

In the first double header of the season, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team came away with a split against Vanguard. The Athenas (1-1) earned the extra inning 2-1 victory in game one but then a few defensive errors gave the Lions (2-1) the win in the nightcap, 6-1.

Thirty-six Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's tennis alums spanning fifty-one years returned to the Biszantz Family Tennis Center on Saturday, Feb. 4 for the annual Ducey Cup alumni match.

Junior Michael Scarlett (CMC) experienced déjà vu on Saturday night, repeating his production from earlier this week against Caltech with another 28-point performance against Redlands (7-13, 3-8) to help the No. 15 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team (17-1, 10-0) to a 69-64 victory.
Stags and Athenas reign over Sixth Street

In the highly anticipated matchup, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s and women’s swim and dive teams earned the regular season victory over Pomona-Pitzer on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The Stags held just a 12 point lead at the second break but then extended their lead to 38 points, ultimately winning 167-129. The Athenas came away with a huge 182-117 win, avenging last season’s dual meet loss.
Women’s water polo start season 2-0

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s water polo team got off to a strong start to the season, defeating SCIAC rivals Chapman and Occidental on Saturday at the Lillian Slade Aquatics Center.
Late basket by Redlands sinks Athenas

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's basketball team (13-8, 9-3) fell to Redlands 64-63 on Saturday night as the Bulldogs clinched a game-winning layup with three seconds left from Ta'amu Reyna.
Stags deliver season sweep over Caltech

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team (16-1, 9-0) grinded out and prevailed with a 66-61 victory over Caltech (5-14, 4-6) on Thursday night thanks to an offensive surge late in the game.

For the second time this season, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s basketball team stormed past the California Institute of Technology for a final score of 51-38. The Athenas still lead the SCIAC with a 9-2 record with five games to play.
