Bio

For those of you unaware, Ohio is a state located in the area between New York and California known as the Midwest (yes, the area between is inhabited). Benjamin, or Ben, Iten hails from here and has decided to accept the academic trials and warmer weather of Harvey Mudd College. When not studying, running, or sleeping (really, when?), Ben can be found wearing wolf t-shirts, playing Frisbee golf, snow skiing, or listening to music. Ben is also a resident of the infamous West Dorm at Mudd.

In his high school career, Ben was a part of a 7:56 4x8 team, a 9:45 two miler, a 4:21 miler,  and a 1:57 800m runner during track, and in cross country, he ran a personal best of 16:00.9 in the 5000m.

In his first year at CMS he learned the ropes of college running during cross country (lay speak for an average season). Luckily during track he emerged from the cocoon he was in during cross and blossomed as a beautiful butterfly, running a 3:59 to score 6th in the SCIAC 1500m. Ben's parents can often be found in support of CMS at track and xc meets, and his dad is well on his way to becoming an icon among team members.

Ben was also the 11th place overall finisher and Jugend B champion in the 2012 Rothenberg ob der Tauber 10k, running a blazing 40:40.
