the best first year individual performances in Stags Tennis history...won eight of his first nine duals at the top singles position, losing only to Wesleyan's Steven Chen at the Stag-Hen...dropped only one conference match, which he avenged against Redlands' Chase Lipscomb in the SCIAC team title match...was a last minute replacement for teammate Glenn Hull at the Ojai, then went on to win both the singles title against teammate Morkovine, and then partner Morkovine to win the doubles...becoming the first freshman in CMS history to win the singles and doubles at the Ojai...headed into NCAAs as the undisputed No. 1 player in the West, leading the Stags at No. 1 singles and doubles...won all six of his NCAA team matches, the final two in comebacks against Cuba of Middlebury and Manji of Emory...then advanced to the NCAA singles final by winning four matches, coming up short against Middlebury's Cuba in the title match...played at all three doubles positions with five different partners...finished with overall records of 33-9 in singles and 21-14 in doubles, earning ITA All-American honors in singles and doubles...was awarded SCIAC Newcomer of the Year and Athlete of the Year, the first time both awards have been awarded to the same player in the same year...as a sophomore entered ITA West Regional as No. 2 seed in singles and was upset in first round by Redlands freshman Cameron Krimbill in three sets...won one of two matches in consolation to finish the fall with 1-2 singles record...teamed with Jake Berber in doubles as the seventh seeds, winning five matches to capture West Region title...advanced to the ITA Oracle Cup in Rome, GA where Berber-Parodi were winless in three matches...ends fall campaign with a 5-3 doubles record, ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 2 in West, while earning second consecutive ITA Doubles All-American honors...followed up a luke warm fall season with a red hot spring, confidently asserting himself at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles with Gordy...won his first eight matches at the top singles position, including wins over Trinity, Wash U and Emory at the ITA National Indoors...streak was halted by Bowdoin's Grant Urken in the Stag-Hen Championship match 7-6(3), 3-6, 7-6(2) which would foreshadow a loss to Urken on the same court in the semifianls of the NCAA singles...despite two losses against Lipscomb (Redlands) and LeDuff (Santa Cruz), Parodi kept a clean slate for the remainder of the regular season and then defended his singles and doubles titles at the Ojai, a first in CMS Stags Tennis program history...was at his very best during NCAA team tournament, when in three matches he yielded a total of 16 games in wins against Santa Cruz (avenging the earlier loss to LeDuff), Trinity, and Chicago...added three more victories in the NCAA singles tournament before bowing out to eventual champion Urken 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the semis...finished as No. 1 D3 singles player in the West and No. 2 Nationally...with Gordy in doubles he was equally impressive, as the duo held down the top spot in the West for most of the spring...despite an unexpected first round loss at NCAAs to Bates' No. 1 team, Parodi and Gordy put together an impressive 24-8 record as a team and finished ranked No. 2 in the West and No. 9 Nationally...Parodi's overall records were 30-6 in singles and 29-11 in doubles...he adds ITA All-American honors in singles and doubles for the second consecutive year, as well as SCIAC Athlete of the Year and 1st Team All-SCIAC...named CMS Atlhlete of the Week for February 12 and March 5 and voted by his teammates as the Stags' Most Valuable Player...as a junior spent fall semester abroad in Sydney, Australia...returned to start season at the No. 1 singles and doubles (with Gordy) positions...started slowly in singles, winning only two of his first five duals, but then lost only three matches between March 15 and the NCAA team championship match on May 22...became the first player ever to win the Ojai D3 singles and doubles titles for three consecutive years...also reached the quarterfinals of NCAA singles, his third time in three years reaching the quarters or better in singles...earned ITA All-America honors in singles and doubles,1st Team All-SCIAC, and SCIAC Athlete of the Year honors for the third straight season...also named the CMS Male Athlete of the Year as best overall athlete...his season records of 24-8 in singles and 24-9 in doubles improve his career win totals to 87 in singles and 74 in doubles, placing among CMS' best of all time after only three seasons...finished the year ranked No. 4 in singles - his third straight top five national year-end rank, and No. 4 with Gordy in doubles...also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for acheiving a 3.5 GPA or better in the classroom.
