On Court: Trained from age 16 at Austin Tennis Academy under Stags Tennis alum Jack Newman...played at Super Champ level in Texas USTA juniors, reaching top fifty ranking in the 18s...as a senior, led his Lake Travis HS team to the finals of the state championships and then won the doubles state championships...as a freshman made his Stags Tennis debut at USTA / ITA West Regionals in October, playing two matches with partner Bryan Mehall in doubles...appeared in three singles dual matches in the spring, all at the #4 position...partnered Mehall in his only doubles dual match...made the Stags NCAA travel squad that played the final three matches of the season in  Kalamazoo, MI...earned overall marks of 2-1 in singles and 1-2 in doubles...as a sophomore saw first tournament action at USTA / ITA West Regionals in September, winning two of four singles matches and one of three doubles matches...defeated Wei of Pomona-Pitzer in first round before falling to 9th seed Taylor Hunt of Redlands...paired with freshman Daniel Morkovine in doubles...was sidelined for entire spring season due to a leg injury...as a junior played ITA West Regionals in singles and doubles, winning two of four matches in singles and going 1-1 with partner Max Sacks...again had to forego the spring season due to leg injury...as a senior returned to action after nearly two year injury related to a sports hernia which required surgery in October...one of four seniors that led the Stags in 2016...appeared in seven singles dual matches in the spring, winning all but one...played teammate Patrick Wildman to a tough three-setter in the first round of Ojai...earned a starting doubles position at #2 by early March, playing with Macey, Mehall, and Gordy for the final twelve matches...had overall records of 6-2 in singles and 14-13 in doubles...voted Most Improved Player by his teammates...completes career as a Stag with records of 12-7 in singles and 17-18 in doubles.

Personal: Middle of three children born south of Paris, France to parents Gesine and Thomas...older brother Phillip plays tennis for Rice University... younger sister Elena, who also plays varsity tennis at Lake Travis HS in Austin, TX...moved to Richmond, Virginia at age 2 and first played tennis at age 4...spent most of his childhood in Munich, Germany, where he also played German national team sports soccer and handball...attended a boarding school near London, England during his sophomore year and played soccer, field hockey, handball, and tennis on his school teams...then moved to Austin, Texas in his junior year to focus on tennis only...trained at the Austin Tennis Academy and played number two in singles and number one in doubles for Lake Travis High School...speaks 2.5 languages (German, English, 0.5 French), likes to relocate regularly and meet new people.
