Stags Fall to PLNU - Compete at Pacific Coast Doubles

CMS Men's Tennis lost a 5-4 decision at NAIA's #7 Point Loma Nazarene and then went on to compete at the 123rd annual Pacific Coast Doubles Championships, rounding out a weekend against strong non-Division III opponents. Freshman Warren Wood (Del Mar, CA) earned impressive wins at #1 singles and #2 doubles to contribute to two of the four CMS match wins againt PLNU. Senior Andrew Duckworth (Lake Forest, IL [pictured right]) earned a hard fought straight set win at #6 for his third dual match victory of the spring, bringing his singles record to 6-2 on the season.

At the Pacific Coast Doubles Championships in La Jolla, Stags tandems accounted for wins over doubles teams from USC, Fresno State, and Boston College, as CMS prepared for upcoming dual matches against Vassar, Swarthmore (Thursday at 2 and 6 PM) and at UC Santa Cruz (Saturday at 12 Noon).
