On Court: As a USTA junior player got as high as 54th in his recruiting class on tennisrecruiting.com and the only five-star recruit in Division III for the class of 2015...finished 4th at Irvine Level 2 National Open in November of 2010, after winning SoCal 18s Doubles Sectionals with partner Daniel Faierman two weeks earlier...also won Level 3 Quiksilver 18 singles in May, 2010...playing for La Jolla Country Day, won back-to-back CIF team championships and individual doubles championships as a junior and senior...highest junior rankings: #5 in SoCal 16s, #23 Nationally in 16s, #110 Nationally in 18s...won sportsmanship awards in 2008 and 2010 for San Diego and Southern California respectively...16s Player of the Year in San Diego for 2009...qualified and won matches at 16s Winter Nationals and 16s and 18s Kalamazoo...as a freshman debuted at USTA / ITA West Regionals as the 5th seed in singles and 3rd seed in doubles (with Lane)...reached the semis of singles (losing to teammate Alex Johnson in three sets) and the finals of the doubles, earning him fall rankings of #19 nationally and #6 in the west in singles, and #10 nationally and #3 in the west with Lane in doubles...played almost exclusively at the #1 singles and doubles position all spring en route to an outstanding first season as a Stag...won seven straight matches from March 24 to April 14, including wins over Chafetz of Amherst, Parower of Middlebury, Donkena of Gustavus, and Meyer of Pomona-Pitzer...was 14-8 in dual matches and 20-11 overall in singles, qualifying for the NCAA singles tournament as one of the eight best in the west region...partnered Alex Lane at the #1 position in February and March, with the pair going 11-3...paired up with Nik Marino at #1 and #2 for April and May and went 9-7...finished with a 22-11 overall doubles record...earned 1st Team All SCIAC honors, as well as ITA West Region and National Rookie of the Year award, the first time a CMS player has earned both the regional and national award.
