Bio

Coach Burton enters her 13th season as the CMS Head Women's Golf coach in the 2018-19 academic year. She oversaw the transition of women's golf from club to varsity status after being instrumental in the addition of the program in 2007. The team won the inaugural SCIAC title in 2012 and won its first national title in the spring of 2018.

Burton is the senior women's administrator for the department and during her career at CMS has helped increase the number of women's sports from six to 11. She served 31 years as women's basketball coach and has also served as volleyball and interim women's tennis coach. Burton lives in Claremont and has three sons: John, Todd, and Michael.
