J.P. Kiefer is a Sophomore at Claremont McKenna College studying Economics. Despite growing up in Track Town, USA, Kiefer actually grew up playing soccer most of his life. Upon the realization that he lacked the coordination to play soccer well, J.P. naturally decided to run cross country instead. He spends most of the cross country season counting down the days until track starts, where he does not have to run any “ridiculous” distances like the 8K. Kiefer runs the 3000m Steeplechase in the Spring. When he is not running, Kiefer is sure to be snow skiing, wakeboarding , rope-swinging, talking to girls, traveling, or doing some other activity that could potentially derail his running career.
