Bio

Matthew “Matt” Huerta, a graduate of St. Anselm’s Abbey School in Washington, D.C., started running cross country in the fall of his freshman year of high school. The following spring, he joined the track team as a distance runner. Over the next three years, he improved his times considerably. During his senior year, Matt served as the Team Captain of both the cross country team and of the track team’s distance squad. As a member of the CMS cross country team, he hopes to continue improving his times as a runner. 

When he is not running, Matt enjoys camping, mountain biking, and skiing. Additionally, during his stay in sunny Southern California, he hopes to make it to the beach more often – something he rarely did when living in DC.
