Bio

McKenzie Deutsch was born and raised on Apple Hill Farm in the sunny/rainy town of Sammamish, Washington and is following in her sister Breanna's footsteps at Scripps.

Her break through in running was junior year of high school when the girls XC team qualified for state for the first time in eight years, and then in spring when she ran on the school record holding and 4A state championship 4 by 4 team in track. Senior year, she qualified individually for the first time in both XC and track for the 800m. Her 5k PR is 19:30 and 2:13 in the 800.

Besides running, McKenzie loves to hike the many scenic trails of the Pacific Northwest or stalk her competition on athletic.net, among other things. At meets, she may be spotted with her own personal jar of peanut butter as it is primarily what she lives off of.

Despite some injuries and bumps in the road, she is ecstatic to continue her running career and to be apart of an amazing team and program!
