ACWPC hands Kiessling and Gaffney All-America nods

BRIDGEPORT, Penn. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the selection of the 2017 Women's Division III All-America Team which features two members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's water polo team. Roxy Kiessling (CMC '18) was honored onto the All-America second team after a strong season in which she led the Athenas with 54 goals while Jessica Gaffney (CMC '18) made it on the All-America Honorable Mention list after scoring 52 goals and generating 26 assists.

This is Kiessling's second All-America nod, having made the first team last season. She led the SCIAC with 18 goals in conference play and led the Athenas to an 11-20 record, earning a spot in the All-SCIAC First Team.

Gaffney was also listed on the All-America Honorable Mention list last season, and has remained a steady producer for the Athenas. She scored 16 goals and had eight assists in conference play this past season, enough to be awarded All-SCIAC Second Team honors.
