Eleven Athenas and team earn ACWPC All-Academic awards
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the teams and individuals earning All-Academic awards with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps coming at fourth nationally in GPA. Eleven Athenas recorded GPA of 3.2 or higher and were honored with the 504 total women's water polo student-athletes for academic excellence.
The team recorded a 3.46 GPA and placed fourth in the country and highest of the SCIAC programs.
Senior Nicole Orozco (CMC), sophomores Mariah Mastrodimos (SCR) and Roxy Kiessling (CMC), and freshmen Emma Choy (CMC) and Gayatri Ketvarapu (CMC) received "Outstanding" honors for posting above a 3.71 GPA. Sophomores Alex Maser (CMC), Jessica Gaffney (CMC), Helen Thomason (SCR), Lauren Rosenberger (CMC) all achieved "Superior" marks for GPAs of 3.41-3.70. Last but not least, sophomore Christine Hu (CMC) and freshman Krystal Sung (CMC) were "Excellent" for recording GPAs 3.20-3.40.
