Athenas sweep on second day of Convergence
CMS dominated play on the second day of the Convergence Tournament beating Siena College 16-7 and Cal State San Bernardino 14-6. CMS finished 3-1 in the tournament and improved their season record to 4-7.
The Athenas led 6-0 after the first quarter and cruised to the victory. Candace Filippelli scored five goals and Alex Toohey had three. Kelly Davis and Brittany Arneson added a pair of goals each.
CMS jumped out to a 9-3 halftime lead and cruised to the victory. C. Filippelli and Toohey both scored four goals while Rose Koper added a pair.
CMS returns to action on Tuesday, March 11. They take on George Washington University at Axelrood Pool at 6:00 pm.
