CMS Records Big Win At Cal Lutheran

The CMS volleyball team upset 26th-ranked Cal Lutheran Tuesday night with a 30-25, 22-30, 30-25, 30-27 victory. The loss was only Cal Lutheran's second at home this season and ended their three-match winning streak. CMS improved to 13-7 overall and 6-4 in SCIAC play while Cal Lutheran dropped to 12-4 and 8-2.

Alicia Freeman (JR, Santa Barbara) led four players registering double digit kills with 19. Hilary Bagshaw (SR, Atherton) had 17, Lindsay Hull (JR, Phoenix, AZ) had 12 and Camille Butts (JR, Ontario) had 11. Alex Harrison (SO, Tucson, AZ) had a season-best 56 assists. Helena Bottemiller (SO, Burien, WA) had six blocks and Greer Donley (SO, Leawood, KS) has 17 digs. The team had one of their best hitting performances of the year with 65 kills and a .267 hitting percentage for the match.

CMS' next match is at Occidental on Saturday, October 21. The match is scheduled for 6:00.
