Eisenman Ranked Second Nationally in Singles at Conclusion of Fall Season

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Lindsay Eisenman is ranked No. 2 in the nation in Division III singles for the two-time defending national champion CMS women's tennis team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association after the conclusion of the fall season.

In addition to Eisenman's No. 2 ranking, the Athenas also have Audrey Yoon ranked No. 9, Alisha Chulani ranked No. 21, Ella Brissett is in the No. 36 spot and Sena Selby No. 38, giving CMS a nation's best five of the nation's top 40 singles players. Emory is the only school to have more players in the top 50 (six), but two of the Eagles players are outside the top 40.

CMS also has two of the top seven doubles teams in the country, with Brissett and Eisenman holding down the No. 6 ranking, and Yoon and Chulani ranked No. 7 (although Chulani will likely reunite with Nikolina Batoshvili in doubles after Batoshvili returns from studying abroad in the fall).

Eisenman earned her No. 2 ranking in singles after reaching the national championship match in singles during the ITA Cup, before falling to Sylwia Mikos of Chicago, who is ranked No. 1 heading into the spring season. She defeated Yoon in three sets in the ITA West Regionals, with both players advancing to the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia. Eisenman and Brissett also played Yoon and Chulani in an all-CMS ITA West doubles finals.

CMS will open its spring schedule on Feb. 10, when it hosts UC San Diego at 12 p.m.
