CMS Swimming and Diving Teams Capture Scholar All-America Team Honors

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's and men's swimming and diving teams both had strong semesters in the classroom in the spring, earning Scholar All-America Team honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America, the organization announced today.

Both CMS teams easily passed the minimum standard required for Scholar All-America honors, with the Athenas compiling a 3.59 GPA as a team, and the Stags earning a 3.48. They both also ended the year ranked highly in the pool, with the men's team finishing in eighth place at the NCAA Division III Championships, and the women's team coming in 11th. 

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches and has been celebrating its centennial anniversary this year. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
