Women's Golf Finishes 11th At NCAA Championships

DESTIN, Fla. – The Athenas finished 11th overall at the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championship on Friday, May 17, with a four-round score 1299 at the at The Baytowne Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.  The finish was the highest in team history - three places higher than their finish in 2012.

Shaina Raskin led the team individually in the 111-woman field and finished tied for 26th overall with a score of 321.  Maya Reddy finished tied for 28th at 322, Tiffany Su tied for 45th at 329, Marissa Suehiro tied for 55th at 333 and Melody Sue finished 69th at 338.  Each player contributed to the team score at least twice in the four rounds.  Su and Reddy had the team's low rounds of 77 in the first and fourth round respectively.  Raskin led the team in both the second and third rounds with scores of 79 and 78.

CMS was in 11th place after 36 holes, but finished strong posting the sixth best total (643) over the final 36 holes.
