CLAREMONT, Calif. – Kristen Dowling, who has spent the last seven years as the head coach of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s basketball program, will step down to become the head coach at Division I Pepperdine for the 2019-20 season.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's basketball team played a tight championship game against Pomona-Pitzer the whole way, with neither team ever leading by more than six, but the Athenas came up on the short end of a 60-57 defeat to finish as the conference runner-up on Saturday evening at Roberts Pavilion.

Maya Love led the way with a double-double, 14 points and 12 rebounds, as the Athenas fought off a slow start offensively and came back from a six-point deficit to win by 15 at Roberts Pavilion on Wednesday night.
