Bio

William Loredo joined the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball program in 2018-19 after five seasons of coaching at local softball powerhouse Grand Terrace HS, multiple years coaching within travel baseball and softball, and coaching professionally in Germany and as a consultant with the German 19U National Softball Team. He enters his third year with the program in 2021 after helping the Athenas to 31 wins and their highest-ever national ranking (No. 5) in his first season.

Loredo graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. His college baseball career started at Cal State San Bernardino before transferring to Glendale Community College in Arizona and ending his playing career with the Sun Devils.

Loredo's experience extends to providing on-field instruction as a hitting and defense coach, managing aspects of offense, and coaching third base. He brings experience with fundraising, practice planning, recruiting, and scouting, as well as teaching strength and conditioning.

With his involvement, Grand Terrace developed into a perennial championship contender in softball, developing multiple successful softball players, winning the Sunkist League four out of his five years and earning a spot in the playoffs each season. Grand Terrace's postseason success included winning the 2016 CIF-SS Div. 3 State Championship (after reaching the finals in 2015) and qualifying for the CIF-SS Div. 1 semifinals in his final year.

Outside of coaching, Loredo enjoys spending time with his daughter Alexandria and traveling.
