Let The Games Begin!
The CMS Softball team kicks off the 2011 season with great excitement. The squad will look for leadership from a returning cadre of 14 players including: 2010 First Team All-American and SCIAC Player of the Year Harmony Palmer, and 2010 All-Region stand-outs: Amanda Banducci, Michelle Harvey, Emily Lopez, and Gizelle Pera.
Five seniors suit up for their fourth season of Athena Softball and will be supported by seven juniors poised to enjoy their third year of play.
A great deal of anticipation surrounds the talented incoming freshman class, each with a prolific softball resume: two Californians, three Washingtonians, and one Oregonian. Each rookie brings the capacity to contribute towards a 2011 SCIAC Championship and beyond.
After another successful fall season, the squad is eager to start the spring season and the battle for back-to-back SCIAC titles.
Competition opens with the Athenas at home hosting Azusa Pacific University on Saturday, January 29th at 12 pm.
