CMS Female Featured Athlete, Jessica Vaughn, Softball

Jessica Vaughn has been an integral part of the Athena softball team since she arrived at CMS. Though only a sophomore, she has started every game for the last two seasons. In her first year, she led the team in batting with a .369 average and 41 hits and was named First Team All-SCIAC. This year, she leads the team in slugging percentage (.484), from the leadoff spot no less, and is second on the team in hits. Primarily a second baseman, she also has the ability to move to the other side of the infield and play shortstop. Vaughn attends Scripps College and is from Placerville, CA.
