Seven Stags Capture All-Region Honors for Indoor Track and Field Season

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Seven members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's track and field team earned USTFCCCA All-West Region honors for Indoor Track and Field season, the organization announced today.

Mason Ratkovich earned All-Region honors for two events, the mile and the 3000 meters, while Jason Bowman (weight throw), Ellis DelVecchio (800 meters), John Horan (pole vault), Sarath Kakani (shot put), Joshua Martinez (60-meter hurdles), and Ian Osborne (weight throw) were also honored. 

The top five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end descending order lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-three relay teams. 

CMS had seven honorees despite very limited participation during indoor season, with a small contingent only competing once at either the Whitworth Invitational or the Boston University Valentine Invitational in February. 

CMS will be back to action for outdoor competition on Saturday when it competes at the Occidental Sprint and Distance Carnival.
