EAGLE ROCK, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's track and field team had someone place in the top five in all five events it competed in, including a run from Miles Christensen in the 5000 meters that moved him into third place all-time in program history at the Occidental Distance Carnival and Spring Break Classic on Saturday.

Christensen passed his old PR by almost six seconds to move up from sixth place on the CMS all-time list into third, behind only former teammate Stevie Steinberg and current teammate Henry Pick. His run placed him third in the field of 232 runners at the Occidental carnival, behind only Davis Boggess from The Master's University and Adam Trafecanty from Division I Loyola Marymount.

Kai Dettman was the highest finisher for the Stags on the day, coming in second of 89 runners in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.51, behind only Bo Olson from Fresno Pacific in 1:51.72. Matthew Jabro (1:57.69, 14th), Daniel Voyles (1:59.14, 25th) and Rafael Burger (1:59.53, 28th) also came in under two minutes for CMS.

In the 1500, Noah Nevens came in third place out of 135 runners with a time of 3:53.67, taking two seconds off of his PR. Mark Russell also earned a top-25 finish with a 4:04.32, 11 seconds faster than his previous fastest time.
