On Court: Played at Choate Rosemary Hall for three years, competing at #1 singles and doubles and captain senior year...team finished second in the New England Prep Team Championships two out of three years...Two time New England Prep doubles champion.  Makes debut for Stags as a freshman after busy fall...played four tournaments, including the National Father-Son Hardcourts and Costa Mesa Intercollegiates, reaching the round of 16 of the latter...was perfect in spring dual match competition, going 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles...dropped only four games in three singles matches at the #2 and #4 positions, and partnered Zyskind (once) and La Cava (twice) in losing only three games in three doubles matches...as a sophomore earned entry into the ITA West Regionals in singles, going 1-2 with a win over 14th seed Matt Liebman from Redlands...partnered Myles Crandall in doubles, where the pair were 1-1...played in three singles dual matches in the spring at #3, #4, and #5, going 2-1...finished 2010 with a 3-3 singles record...played with Bond in the spring to form one of the Stags' most potent doubles teams...the pair were 6-0 in dual matches at #3 and had two wins at the prestigious Pacific Coast Doubles Tournament in March...Mullen finished with a 7-1 doubles record...as a junior was in CMC's Washington D.C. Program in the fall and then returned to appear in only two dual matches in the spring, earning singles victories against Caltech and Haverford, both at the #6 position...stayed perfect in doubles, going 4-0 with three partners: Bond, Wong, and Kotrappa...was awarded the Hank Krieger Trophy as the player who best models the attributes of a team player through sportsmanship, a strong work ethic, self-sacrifice, and passion for the game...as a senior was named Stags captain...began fall action playing USTA / ITA West Regionals where he was 1-2 in three singles matches, and 0-2 in two doubles matches with Andrew Duckworth...returned in the spring to go 4-1 in singles duals and 1-1 (with Duckworth) in doubles duals...ended year with a 5-3 singles record and 1-3 doubles record to conclude his CMS career with a 13-6 singles and 15-4 doubles records...earned three prestigious awards as a senior, including the Hank Krieger Trophy for the second consecutive year, which recognized his hard work, attitude, and team focus...also won the coveted Bill Dickinson Award for all CMC student-athletes, which recognized his leadership, self-discipline, determination, and conscientiousness...was selected to represent all male D3 student-athletes as featured speaker at the 2012 NCAA Team Championships banquet in Cary, N.C.
