On Court: Rated as high as 166 nationally and 1 in the Pacific Northwest on tennisrecruiting.net and was a 4-star recruit during sophomore and junior years...played #1 singles all four years for Westview High School...favorite junior tournament was 16s Intersectionals in Shreveport, Louisiana during summer between junior and senior year of high school...as a freshman debuted for the Stags at the ITA West Regionals in October where he upset 9th seed Charlie Werman of Chapman in three sets in his first collegiate tennis match...he fiinished 2-2 in four singles matches and then reached the doubles quarters with partner Freddie Simental...played in four other events outside of Regionals during the fall...was thrust into action in the spring, making his dual match debut against Brandeis on Feb 27...went undefeated in his first seven singles matches, playing at positions 4-6...also saw dual match action at #1 and #2 singles against Oxy, Cal Lu and Whittier...biggest win of the spring came at the 2nd round of the Ojai D3 event, where he came back to defeat Pomona-Pitzer's Jake Yasgoor 1-6, 7-6(3), 6-4...went 10-5 in singles dual matches and 4-3 in tournament play for an overall singles record of 14-8...played in three doubles matches in the spring, winning with Brenner at #3 vs Concordia, then competing in Pac Coast Doubles and the Ojai with Brenner and Shankar...had final doubles record of 3-3...as a sophomore lost in the opening round of singles at the ITA West Regionals and then rattled off five straight wins without losing a set to take the consolation title...partnered Rohan Shankar in two matches in the doubles event...played in eight singles dual matches in the spring at positions 3-6...surrendered no more than six games in any one match, going 7-0 with one unfinished match over a three-month span...fiinshed with an impressive 12-1 singles record overall...appeared in two doubles duals with Macey and Shankar, going 2-0 and earning a 2-2 doubles record overall...as a junior got off to best start yet by four singles matches at ITA West Regional and advancing to the semis...as No. 6 seed, earned two most impressive wins over teammates Gordy in the round of 16 and Park in the quarters...lost to eventual champ Chase Lipscomb of Redlands in the semis in two close sets...paired with Matthew Jacobs in the doubles and the duo went 2-2...finished fall season with career best singles rankings of No. 37 nationally and No. 6 in the West...picked up right where he left off, earning a starting singles position to open the Stags' spring dual match campaign...played as high as No. 2 in three duals, but settled in at the No. 6 position in CMS' most closely contested matches...earned the team's highest singles winning percentage with his 18-2 dual and 22-3 overall record...his .880 winning percentage ranks as the ninth best in single season mark in program history...had signifcant singles wins against Trinity, Wash U, Amherst, Tufts, Middlebury, Gustavus, Redands and Pomona-Pitzer...appeared in four doubles dual matches - three with Jacobs and one with Yeam - going 4-0 all at the No. 3 position...finished 2018 with overall records of 22-3 in singles and 6-2 in doubles, tied for team lead with six dual match clinching victories...voted Most Improved Player by teammates...as a senior went 2-1 in three singles matches at ITA West Regionals, defeating Caltech's Valencic in three sets and UC Santa Cruz's Dugan in straight sets, before falling to Pomona-Pitzer's Josh Gearou in the quarterfinals...played doubles with freshman Ethan Carroll and the duo lost in the second round to eventual champs Shankar and Wei of Caltech, after having one match point...returned in the spring to play in seven singles dual matches and earn a 6-1 record at positions 3, 5 and 6...completed the 2019 season with records of 8-2 in singles and 1-1 in doubles, for career marks of 56-14 in singles and 12-8 in doubles...his career singles winning percentage of .800 places him seventh all-time among Stags who played 50 or more matches in their careers.
