On Court: 4-Star recruit who ranked no.78 in his class nationally as a high school senior...also no.3 in his class in Illinois…climbed over 200 spots nationally in two years...ranked as high as 8th in Midwest for Boys 18s…favorite tournaments were Midwest Team District Cup and USTA National Clay Courts…played three years of high school tennis and led Latin School of Chicago to a state runner-up title in 2017…as a freshman made Stags Tennis debut at the ITA West Regionals, advancing to the quarterfinals of Flight A in singles and doubles...defeated Caltech's James Wei in the Round of 16, before falling to Pomona-Pitzer's Jed Kronenberg in straight sets in the quarters...partnered Freddie Simental to win two matches before bowing out to teammates Gordy and Katzman in the quarters...appeared sparingly in February and March before earning a starting spot with his win at No. 6 singles against then No. 1 Chicago on March 29...the very next day against No. 2 Middlebury, validated his performance with a straight set win in another Stags victory...both wins were part of a 13 match win streak in which he played at all six singles positions...was at his best on the last two days of the season, earning the clinch and then launching his racket after his win in the NCAA semifinals against Max Liu of Chicago...was the first Stag to get a singles win in the NCAA title match versus Emory, defeating James Spaulding 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6...completed his first season withe overall records of 20-3 in singles and 2-1 in doubles...earned 2nd Team All-SCIAC honors and was voted Most Improved Player by his teammates...also one of eight Stags to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or better during the academic year.
