On Court: Played varsity tennis for Westminster School for 3 years, captain his senior year...played left-handed sophmore year due to right elbow surgery...played at the one position as a junior and senior going 28-2 in singles...also captured the Kingswood Invitational Title, and the Southern New England Tennis League Title in both singles and doubles...named Team MVP each of last two years, and was recipient of the Squibb Bowl is senior year...USTA singles ranking reached as high as 4 in New England and top 250 nationally...in summer of 2009, he won the doubles title at the ITA Summer Circuit held at Dartmouth...as a freshman made strong debut at ITA West Regionals in the fall, winning four of six singles matches and all three doubles matches (with Wei)... started the spring season at #3 singles and #3 doubles (with Brockett)...played every singles position except for #5 in the spring, going 17-4...won twice each at #1 and #2 singles, including impressive straight set wins over Guatavus Adolphus (#2) and Linfield (#1)... finished the season at #6 singles where he was undefeated and did not lose a set from April 2 on...Cahill was the only Stag to win every dual match he participated in during the NCAA team event, going 5-0 at #6 singles...finished with the second best overall singles record on the team at 21-6 for the season...went 7-4 overall in doubles play, partnering Wei, Brockett, Keiffer, and Johnson...as a sophomore reached the Round of 16 in singles as the 11th seed at the ITA West Regionals, then partnered Zhenya Pereverzin to go 1-1 in doubles...earned a West Region singles ranking of #22 heading into the spring season...turned in another solid performance playing every singles position except for #2 and earning a 16-9 overall record by season's end...also continued his consistent doubles play, partnering Brockett, Johnson, and Chien to finish with an impressive 11-3 mark...as a junior had his best USTA / ITA West Regional showing yet, losing in the quarters to teammate Warren Wood after wins over Ayabe and third-seeded Koening of Santa Cruz...earned a fall national singles ranking of #39 and a west region rank of #10...remained very solid in the spring playing primarily at the #4 through #6 singles positions...from March 24th on, lost only two of the last thirteen singles matches he played...had his best Ojai yet, winning three matches and taking out seeds Meyer (Pomona-Pitzer) and Worley (Cal Lutheran) en route to a quarterfinal showing...did not lose a set in three matches at the NCAA team championships playing the #6 position...compiled a 16-8 overall singles record and 4-2 doubles record.

Personal: Son of Mike and Nina...started playing competitively at age 12...when not on court or in the weight room, can be found watching Curb Your Enthusiasm or listening to Mac Miller...loves golf and skiing...currently president of Green dorm and a member of CMS' Student Athlete Advisory Committee...worked as a junior teaching pro at the Patterson Club in Fairfield, CT during the summer of 2010 and 2011.
