Stags Defeat Redlands 9-0 for 20th Win

CMS Men's Tennis continued its strong in-conference play with an impressive 9-0 win over 12th ranked Redlands. The Stags are now 6-0 in SCIAC and alone in first place, and 20-6 overall. After rain delayed the match start time to 1:30 PM, CMS took the courts and wasted no time in sweeping the doubles to take a 3-0 lead. Seniors Eric Chow (Sunnyvale, CA) and David Oehm (Menlo Park, CA) were paired at the #3 position, and won without losing a game. The inspired team doubles play then carried over to the singles, where CMS only dropped one set. Sophomore Guillaume Schils (Shaker Heights, OH) and freshman Mikey Lim (Honolulu, HI) earned the Stags' two more victories without surrendering a game, with senior co-captain William Ellison (Shaker Heights, OH) clinching the team win at #2 singles, in between Schils' and Lim's wins. The Stags final two regular season home dual matches are next Saturday, versus conference rival Pomona-Pitzer and against regional opponent Chapman.
