Stags Defeat Pomona-Pitzer 7-0

The CMS Stags defeated cross campus rival Pomona Pitzer by a score of 7-0 on Friday afternoon. The Stags earned the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. The #1 team of Kyle Ellison and David Oehm were tested, but prevailed 9-8 in a tiebreaker, and the #3 team of Eric Chow and Jason Evans improved their record together to 14-4. In the singles, William Ellison and Ben Hough were the first to complete their matches. Kyle Ellison clinched the win for the Stags at #5, earning his team-leading 10th singles win. The win keeps the Stags tied for first place in the SCIAC with a 4-0 record. They move to 11-10 overall. CMS travels to Cal Lutheran on Saturday (9:30 AM) for another important SCIAC match.
