Swimming and Diving Honored as Scholar All-America Teams
NORFOLK, Va. – On Monday, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced that 688 teams have earned the distinction of Scholar All-America team for the Fall 2017 semester. Among the teams honored were both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
To earn the honor, teams were required to post a grade-point-average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester.
The Stags turned in a GPA of 3.35 to be named among the 110 Division III men's teams honored with the distinction. On the women's side, the Athenas earned a 3.30 GPA to be one of the 164 Division III teams honored.
Knox College led all women's swimming and diving teams with a 3.80 GPA and Macalester College held the highest GPA on the men's side with a 3.77.
The Stags and Athenas will wrap up the regular season with a meet against Chapman on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Orange, Calif.
