Six Stags Earn Academic All-District Honors for CMS Men's Soccer

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Seniors Jake Allmon, Kevin Box and Liam O'Reilly, juniors Tommy Brown and Rafael Otero and sophomore Shaan Malik were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced this week.

By earning a spot on the all-district team, all six Stags will be eligible for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced next week.

The CSC academic honors recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The awards are open to sophomores and older, and require meeting minimum academic and athletics standards to be eligible.

All six of the Stags honorees were regulars in the starting line-up, helping CMS to an 8-3-6 final record and a 5-3-4 mark in SCIAC, good for third place. Malik and Otero were both first-team All-SCIAC honorees as well.

O'Reilly (computer science) and Box (engineering) both attend Harvey Mudd. Allmon (economics and data science), Otero (philosophy and public affairs), Brown (philosophy and economics), and Malik (economics) all attend Claremont McKenna.
