Stags end season with loss to Oxy on Senior Night

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's soccer team wrapped the season with a 3-0 loss to Occidental. Before the game tonight, the Stags honored three graduating seniors in their final game of their careers: Taylor Lemmon (CMC), Joseph Mondello (CMC), and Hogan Marhoefer (CMC).

During their careers at CMS, Marhoefer has scored 26 goals, Lemmon has four and Mondello has five wins and three shutouts in goal.

In the game tonight, Ian Shelton (CMC) and Mark Harris (CMC) each had two shots for the Stags.

For Occidental, Liam Walsh and Valdair Martins-Lopes both scored first-half goals and Connor Freeman scored late in the second half.

The Stags finish the season in sixth place in SCIAC with a 6-8-4 record overall, 6-7-3 in conference.
