Joshua Kwon Earns SCIAC Athlete of the Week Honor

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Joshua Kwon of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golf team earned the SCIAC Athlete of the Week honor for events through Sunday, Feb. 25, the conference office announced today.

Kwon earned individual medalist honors at SCIAC regular season tournament No. 1 by finishing at -10, including a bogey-free 65 (-7) on Sunday's second round to help CMS win by seven shots after trailing by six at the midway point.

His round included a birdie on 18 that broke a tie for the individual lead and gave him a one-shot win. His efforts helped CMS shoot -17 as a team, setting a single-round program record. 

CMS will be back in action in two weeks when it travels to compete at the Kingsmen Invitational in Moorpark.
