Stags In Fifth After Day Three Of NCAA Championships

Tain Lee shot a 1-under 71 and Aron Larson (pictured) shot even par 72 to lead the Stags in the third round of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships.  After 54 holes, CMS is in fifth place with a score of 896.

The field, which was cut to 15 teams and six individuals after 36 holes, played the more difficult El Campeon course on Thursday.  CMS shot 300 today, seven strokes better than their score on the course yesterday.  Lee was one of only eight players of the 81 remaining in the field to shoot under par on Thursday and Larson was one of an additional six that shot even par.  Philip North shot 78, Brad Shigezawa shot 79 and Jordan Stein shot 88.

In the individual competition, Lee is in third place at 215 (-1) and Shigezawa is tied for 12th at 221 (+5).
