Lane named to All-SCIAC Second Team
PASADENA, Calif. – Senior Shelby Lane (CMC) from the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's basketball team earned Second Team All-Conference honors, as announced by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) on Thursday.
Lane averaged 8.4 points per game shooting 47.3 percent from the field. He led the CMS team with 91 rebounds in the SCIAC season and is eighth in conference for rebounds per game at 7.0. Lane's presence on the court rattled opponents' offensive plans and contributed to the Stags leading the conference in the fewest points allowed (for the third-consecutive year) at 63.9 in the 2015-16 season. Lane broke into double-digit rebounds in three SCIAC games.
