Chapman defeats Stags 84-62

The basketball game was a lot closer than the score shows as the Stags fall 84-62 Saturday night at Chapman University. The Stags fell behind early in the first half by nearly 14 points, but by the end of the half dwindled the score to 7 trailing Chapman University 41-34 at the half.

A second half run with scoring coming from Freshman guard Chris Blees and Senior Craig Borengasser closed the gab to one with 10 minutes remaining in the game. Chapman was tough to beat on this night as the bearcats shot 53% from the field, and 18-20 from the charity stripe. The final score had the Stags falling to 4-3 on the season.

Stags face UC-Santa Cruz this Saturday Night at 7:30 pm @ Ducey Gym.
