Bunce and Slaats named to D3football.com All-West Region Team
CLAREMONT, Calif. – Sophomore cornerback Victor Bunce (CMC) and junior noseguard Paul Slaats (HMC) earned All-Region awards from D3football.com for their performance in the 2015 season, as announced on Dec. 7. The athletes were of the 77 players selected from 249 nominations in the west region.
Slaats and Bunce were both All-SCIAC selections last week as well.
Bunce earned First Team honors as he led all of Division III for interceptions per game at 1.0. He is also tied for second in the nation for interceptions in a single game at three with 107 return yards.
Slaats was named to the Third Team for his first all-region honor. Slaats captained the defensive line with 46 tackles on the season and led the team with 7.5 tackles for loss setting opponents back 14 yards.
