Bio

Millan begins his second year with CMS in 2017-2018 as the catching coach for the Stags.  Millan most recently coached for six seasons at East LA College, helping them to one South Coast Conference Championship and multiple 20+ win seasons.  He was a head coach for three summers in the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League, a head coach for one summer with the Reggie Smith Athletics Collegiate Team, and an Assistant Coach at Bishop Amat High School, winning a CIF Championship that year.

Millan played his college ball at Cal State Fullerton, where he led the team in hitting in 1993 at a .354 clip.  His 1994 squad made it to the College World Series, knocking out LSU and Florida St. before falling to a Georgia Tech team led by Nomar Garciaparra and Jason Varitek. He was drafted in the 28th round of the 1994 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies and played for six seasons, three of which were with AAA Scranton/Wilkes Barre of the International League.  Millan hit 46 career homers in the minor leagues with 263 RBI and a .277 batting average.  He finished his pro career playing two seasons of Independent League ball, one season with Lehigh Valley of the Atlantic League and one with the Long Beach Armada of the Western League.
