Crystal Anderson - Women's Volleyball

The No. 8 women’s volleyball team went 3-0 with three sweeps last week. Crystal Anderson appeared in two matches and finished the week with 23 kills and just one error to finish the week with a blistering .524 hitting percentage.

On the season, Anderson is second on the team with 136 kills. With 12 kills against Redlands (Oct. 10) and 11 kills against UC Santa Cruz (Oct. 14), Anderson put together her first back-to-back matches with double-digit kills this season. Against Redlands, Anderson set a new season-high hitting percentage at .500, but that mark lasted just four days as she topped it with a .550 clip against the Banana Slugs on Saturday.

With two weeks left in the regular season, Anderson and the Athenas currently sit in first place in the SCIAC with a 9-1 record.

Anderson, a senior, is an economics and accounting major at Claremont McKenna College and has immersed herself completely in to the finance side of her education. She prepares and studies for each one of her interviews with finance companies with the same intensity and focus as she does when she prepares for a match.
