Evan Murphy - Women's Lacrosse

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Evan Murphy (CMC) got it done from all over the field, helping lead the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s lacrosse team to two SCIAC wins last week with an 18-9 defeat of Chapman and a 15-6 win over Redlands. With the wins, CMS now sits at a record of 10-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in conference play.

The senior from Pleasanton, Calif. had three goals in the win over Chapman and dished out three assists. She grabbed four ground balls in the contest while also adding four draw controls and three caused turnovers.

In Saturday’s win against Redlands, Murphy had a game-high eight ground balls while also causing four turnovers. She dished out three assists, had two draw controls, and scored one goal.

The Athenas currently sit atop the SCIAC leaderboard and Murphy leads the conference with 24 assists. They take on George Fox on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on Zinda Field.
